To help answer questions you may have about working with me, I have compiled the most commonly asked questions. Please read the entire interview. This will give you a better description of how working with me will benefit you and your business.

How long have I been a VA?

Officially, I have been a virtual assistant since 2002. My experience in the field of sales, insurance, real estate and business ownership has been ongoing for over 25 years. Each field has its own lingo, code of ethics, and procedures. Continuing to take educational courses in these fields helps to keep me in pace with current trends and changes.

Who is my ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who is dedicated, passionate and takes ownership in his or her business. They include real estate professionals, financial planners, coaches, small business owners, individuals and organizations who struggle with too much paperwork and time sensitive deadlines. They want happy clients, a safety net to catch overlooked details and an increase in their profits. They understand that people are people and everyone can make mistakes including his or herself. They are willing to laugh and have fun, too.

What exactly do I do for my clients?

A virtual assistant is an independent person who works with you to help you achieve your personal, professional and business goals. I am NOT your employee. Some tasks and duties that I perform for clients include providing phone backup, answering Email, doing paperwork follow-up, and submit applications. I track transactions from beginning to end, send out letters, create and maintain databases, send newsletters, create and send campaign literature, call clients for follow-up, monitor new applications through underwriting, create systems, forms, flyers, schedule appointments, seminars, tele classes, and whatever might be causing them unwanted stress.

This works by using the internet, phone calls, email, instant messaging and fax. Accessing client’s information is easy by either synchronizing or logging into their computer. As long as I have user name and password, I can access whatever they need done. All data and client file protection is of utmost importance to me in light of the recent increase in security attacks and heightened concerns of business owners. All spyware, firewall, and anti-virus protection are up-to-date.

What is expected of you as my client?

I expect you to be open, honest, and receptive to a positive change in your life. This is a relationship that is long term and on going. There will be bumps and hiccups as we each learn the other. If you have questions, I expect you to ask me as I will ask them of you. It is mostly about honesty and loyalty. I am someone who is very loyal. I watch out for my client’s best interest at all times. If I have a suggestion, I will give it. For the same reason, I would like you to give suggestions too.

I have a policy and procedure document that all my clients must sign. It has all the details and specifics for hours, my contact information, agreed upon hours and rate you pay.

How do I charge for work to be done?

I charge in 10-minute increments. I have an hourly rate and a retainer rate. You may pay by check, credit card through Pay Pal, or auto-draft at your bank.
